Writing a good PocketQuery Query takes time: pick the right Datasource, get the statement right, name it clearly, and decide whether it should also answer a business question later in Rovo. That work still belongs with people who know your data - but it does not have to start from a blank form.
That is what PocketQuery Builder is for. It is a Rovo agent for PocketQuery editors and administrators. You describe what you want to know in plain language, and Builder writes the Query with you, step by step, inside Rovo chat.
Describe what you need. Builder writes with you.
Open Rovo chat, select PocketQuery Builder, and ask it to create a new Query or change an existing one. Builder works through the conversation: it can set a Name, a Datasource, a Statement (SQL or REST path, depending on the Datasource), and optionally a Description and a Business Question.

When you ask Builder to change an existing Query in your own words, everything you did not mention stays as it was. You stay in control of the draft the whole time. Nothing is created or changed until you ask Builder to save.
Your datasources. No guessing.
Builder only offers Datasources that are actually configured on your site. If something is missing, it asks instead of inventing a connection or a statement that could never run. That keeps authoring grounded in the PocketQuery setup your team already trusts - the same governed Datasources you use for macros and for Ask PocketQuery.
Preview the Query response before you save
While Builder is proposing a Query, you can ask it to try the draft against the selected Datasource without saving anything. Builder shows a bounded result (up to 50 rows, and tells you when there are more). You can keep editing after a run, then save when you are happy with the result.

That works for a brand-new Query and for unsaved changes to an existing one. Authoring and testing stay in Builder - no detour to another agent just to see whether the draft returns the data you expect.
Builder creates. Ask PocketQuery answers.
PocketQuery has two Rovo agents with different jobs on purpose.
PocketQuery Builder is for editors and administrators who create and edit Queries. Ask PocketQuery answers business questions from Queries you have already set up and curated. It never writes SQL and never creates or changes a Query.
Build with PocketQuery Builder. Answer with Ask PocketQuery.
Try it
PocketQuery Builder is available for Confluence Cloud sites with Rovo enabled. Open Rovo chat, select PocketQuery Builder, and describe the Query you want to create or change.
