October was all about Rovo at Lively Apps. Two of our apps got their own Rovo agents: PocketQuery Builder helps you create and edit Queries in a conversation, and the Task Assistant in Task Reminder shows you your Confluence tasks whenever you ask. On top of that, we came back from Atlassian Team '26 in Amsterdam with plenty of ideas. Here is everything in one place.

PocketQuery Builder: create and edit Queries in a Rovo conversation

PocketQuery Builder - create and edit Queries in a Rovo conversation

Writing a good Query takes time: pick the right datasource, get the statement right, name it clearly, and decide whether it should also answer a business question later in Rovo. That work still belongs with the people who know your data - but it no longer has to start from a blank form.

PocketQuery Builder is a Rovo agent for PocketQuery editors and administrators. You describe in plain language what you want to know, and Builder writes the Query with you, step by step, right in Rovo chat. It only offers Datasources that are actually configured on your site, and if something is missing, it asks instead of guessing.

Task Assistant: your Confluence tasks, whenever you ask

Rovo Task Assistant - your to-dos, one question away

Confluence tasks hide in meeting notes, project plans and checklists across many spaces. Task Reminder already brings them together in scheduled email and Slack reminders. But sometimes you do not want to wait for Monday's reminder - you want to know right now what is on your plate.

That is what the Task Assistant, our new Rovo agent in Task Reminder, is for. Ask "What tasks do I have?" and get all Confluence tasks assigned to you, sorted by due date, each with a link to the page it lives on. Done with something? Tell the Assistant which task to tick off.

Team '26 recap: what stood out to us

The Lively Apps team at booth 207 at Atlassian Team '26 in Amsterdam

We spent a few inspiring days at Atlassian Team '26 in Amsterdam. Our highlights from the keynotes:

  • Atlassian MCP Server - rebuilt from the ground up, it reaches more Atlassian products and uses fewer tokens.
  • Agentic Multiplayer Protocol (AMP) - people and AI tools like Rovo, Claude and ChatGPT edit the same Confluence page at the same time, with a clear view of who added what.
  • Atlassian Artifacts - one home for the charts, dashboards and web pages AI agents create for you, ready to place on a Confluence page.
  • Loom "Record for Agent" - talk through what you need on screen, and Loom turns it into an action plan for AI agents.
  • EU AI Inference - inference and application data stay within the EU.

Our takeaway: the big story is not a single feature, but how workflows, shared context, agents and governance now fit together. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to chat!

Behind the scenes: we are growing our team

To keep building the apps you use every day, we are looking for new colleagues. On November 3, the Lively Apps team will be at the HOKO job fair at Hochschule München to meet students and graduates who want to work with us.

Do you know someone who might be a good fit? Feel free to pass this on, or have a look at our open positions.
Where and when: November 3, Hochschule München, Lothstraße 64, booth C14
